Glans professional drama theater for children and adults was founded in 1996 and has a long tradition and great popularity with both children and adults alike. The theater group plays in kindergartens, preschools, elementary schools, community centers and small theaters, with its permanent scene located in an elementary school in Prague 5 - Nové Butovice.
Glans Theater produces variations on classic well-known fairy tales. The current repertoire is very rich and includes the following performances: The Postman’s Fairy Tale, The Clever Princess, Three Magical Stories, Three Stories for You and many others. A short overview, cast information and photographs from the performances can be found on the well-arranged theater’s website.
The theater itself has a professional stage, high quality sound system and professional lighting equipment so that it gives the impression of a small classical theater. This authentic interior gives children the feeling of a true theater experience at an affordable price of 55 CZK per ticket. Performances for schools let teachers in free of charge.
