TETTY – Czech-English Nursery and Preschool

Children attend the TETTY Czech-English Nursery and Preschool in Prague’s Břevnov district from 6 months to 6 years. The youngest children at the nursery department (Beetles – from 6 to 18 months) spend a lot of time playing, browsing through children’s books with colorful pictures and listening to songs. Older children between 18 months and 3 years (Bees) draw, sing and do exercises. They learn how to dress themselves and how to live without diapers. At this age they also come into the first contact with English.

Children at the preschool class have a Czech and American teacher. English is systematically taught through music, singing, exercises and rhymes. Preschoolers like to draw and paint on the wall and develop a skill necessary for writing. Every day children exercise in a small gym and prepare for their school attendance.

Teachers at the TETTY Preschool develop a positive relation in children to books and reading. From the age of four children play tennis regularly and go swimming. The building is surrounded with a large garden where children can relax and play. They also get acquainted with plants in the garden and animals that live here. The local sandbox is a place where children create various structures and „delicacies“. When it is raining, children can play on covered terraces. The price for nursery school for two days a week is CZK 9,000 a month and for a preschool child for three days a week it is CZK 12,000 a month.
