The VERREUM brand was created by the SPACE CZ Company in order to promote high quality handmade Czech design glass that is sold in the Czech Republic and abroad. VERREUM showcases glass that is made according to Old World glassmaking techniques from the Czech Republic combined with contemporary, unique designs.
VERREUM is also one of the last producers of unique mercury glass (double-walled glass with a silver-coated interior) in Europe.
Among the designers that create for the company are such famous names as Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček from the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, as well as Petr Vaďura, Rony Plesl, Leoš Smejkal and Dagmar Pánková. From among foreign designers, VERREUM cooperates with the world-renowned Arik Levy from France, and Sebastian Herkner and Michael Koenig from Germany. VERREUM presents its new products at exhibitions and trade fairs all over the world thereby striving to further preserve and champion the highly-reputed name of Czech glass throughout the world.
