The ADR s.r.o. architectural studio was founded in 1996 in Prague. Two architects, Petr Kolář and Aleš Lapka, graduates of architecture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague who cooperated with the London-based Eva Jiricna architects Ltd architectural studio in the years preceding the foundation of their own studio, formed it.
Besides Petr Kolář and Aleš Lapka the studio comprises other cooperating architects and civil engineers who focus on construction projects and reconstructions of family houses, administrative buildings, accommodation buildings, residential projects and sports facilities, as well as on interior design, furniture design and implementation of exhibition projects including architectural solutions of exhibition spaces. ADR provides comprehensive architectural services from an architectural plan to technical solutions of details and expert construction supervision. The studio chooses suppliers of construction works, constructions and materials, performs engineering work and prepares investment plans ensuring financial resources for construction projects. ADR also mediates a supply of works of art.
ADR studio has been granted many awards for its projects in various categories. For example in 2008 it was the award Architect of the Year in the category Realized Construction for the boarding school Babice project, two years later it was the Red Dot Award 2010 in the Industrial Design category.
