The house, built in 1900, is intended for complete renovation. It has a gabled roof with metal roofing, on which solar panels for water heating are installed, while heating is provided by a gas boiler. The windows are plastic except for a wooden window above the staircase. The property is connected to the municipal water supply and sewerage system; there is also a private well on the plot, a wooden shed, and parking space for three cars in front of the house.
The town of Tanvald, located at the confluence of the Kamenice and Desná rivers, has grown from an original timber settlement into a lively mountain town with a rich history. From the local railway station runs a unique cog railway along the steepest track in the Czech Republic through Desná and Kořenov to Harrachov, which is itself both a technical and tourist attraction. During the winter months, the area becomes a popular destination for skiers heading to nearby mountain resorts such as Tanvaldský Špičák, Černá Studnice, Desná, Smržovka, and Kořenov. Tanvald is easily accessible from Prague via the D10 highway, with the drive from the city center taking less than 90 minutes.
