Studio Muck

Three people, three views, three opinions – that is how the trio of designers standing behind the establishment and success of Studio Muck describes its work. They focus on interior design and solitary designer production.

Romana Jašková, Kristýna Kouřilová and Ondřej Červený started working together in 2013 when they were studying furniture and interior design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague (UMPRUM). Under the banner of Studio Muck, they have been cooperating ever since. The designer team of this Prague-based studio offers complex services connected with interior design, ranging from basic layout changes to construction changes, furniture & lighting design and meticulous selection of home accessories. The studio puts emphasis on a pragmatic attitude. When working on reconstruction, they prefer to work with the conception of the whole apartment; taking into account the functional division of particular zones and their combinations. The portfolio of Studio Muck consists of both residential and office projects as well as commercial interiors. They have, for example, given a new shape to the sought-after Bistro 8 in Letná and the Canadian-style bistro, Garage in Karlín. You can discover some showcases of the original and distinctive work by Studio Muck in editorials presented by major Czech lifestyle magazines, such as Marianne Bydlení and ELLE Decoration, both of which the studio cooperates with quite regularly. Moreover, Muck specializes in design and production of solitary pieces of furniture and interior accessories, which are characterized by a combination of masterly crafted details, clean visual forms and playful solutions. The minimalistic, yet whimsical signature of the studio is imprinted in each piece of collection that has been released so far. Among them is the UNI collection of furniture, which consists of cabinets of many different sizes, patterns and materials. These pieces of furniture are designed so that they could be combined and thereby adjusted to any possible interior. Thanks to the UNI collection, Studio Muck received nominations in two prominent design contests – Czech Grand Design 2015 and Designblok 2015.
